700th ANNIVERSARY EDITION
ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS AND CHARITY APPEAL Photographs
have been posed by members of The Clanranald Trust www.clanranald.org
- 27 North Bridge, Edinburgh) The
Clanranald Trust is a registered charity in Scotland mainly aimed at Education
with the added interest of providing stunt fighters for film and TV work (e.g.
the Germanic tribe at the beginning of Gladiators who were led by the clan and
its leader, Chick Allen, of Roslin.) Obviously, anyone is now free to read, print, carve, or
otherwise delineate, the contents. An
example has been set at Roslin when I lectured there on this subject and hard
copies were handed out freely, but donations were offered and a fine total
handed over to the Clanranald Trust. This site was originally designed by Steven Burnett, a Roslin resident, and is
currently hosted by NetDominus. If
you have found this useful, please pass onto friends BUT ask for a donation to
your favourite local charity, or The Clanranald Trust.
I would be interested to be made aware of sums so raised. The
main reason for publishing this on the internet is to make it available all
over the world. I hope you will forgive my non-academic /literary
skills and now invite anyone with criticism, additional information or
corrections to contact me with their comments which I will include in later
updates. Anyone interested in having links or adverts placed on this site, or otherwise sponsoring more light being shed on this subject please contact me via the contacts page of this site. The Battle of Roslin took place 700 years ago on the 24th February
1303. Let us not forget. Steve Chalmers, Edinburgh February 2003 |
